This is a classic transistor radio made in 1961, at a time when manufacturers were still applying some imagination and styling to transistor sets rather than shoving them in uniform rectangular plastic boxes! The PT208 case is vinyl covered plywood, and is quite solidly constructed. There were in fact several related models, branded Ferranti, Invicta and Pye.

Sympathetically restored the original MW / LW transistor based receiver technology has been disconnected and appropriate bluetooth board added.

Still making use of the on/off switch it's soft deep toned speaker truly makes this a talking piece as well as a slice of history

With no appreciable damage to the casing it's truly an indication of the respect given to these radios over the last 65 years.
